Kelly and Mike
Not only was I honored to design Kelly and Mike's entire wedding identiy, I was even more honored to stand beside them on their special day! Kelly and I began the creative collaboration by putting together a Pinterest board to set the visuals that became a rustic, yet classic look with elegant details. Kelly had chosen a deep red wine for her bridal party dresses and Mike chose navy blue suits for his groomsmen, which is where my color palette began. I took a photo of a rose and used effects in Photoshop to give it a watercolor texture for a romantic feel. Pairing that with a wooden texture background to give some grit, I then took an overlay of the same dark red from the rose at a very light opacity to make a connection between the two most prominent elements in the design. By adding in sage greens and dusty blues, the overall identity wasn't solely feminine. Paired with incredible photography to work, this whole project was a dream to work on, and also steered me away from the usual, more corporate projects I'm hired for. Many wedding branding package templates are available across multiple platforms and offered for brides to choose from, but I was honored to give Kelly and Mike a unique design completely custom to the visuals of their special day, as well as see it all come together from scratch.
